Design Advisor - Joe Ingea
Joe Ingea design philosophy is about producing endurable and attractive design that serves its purpose as well. A designer that cares passionately about his work, he engages closely with his clients to ensure functional and comfortable living and working spaces. Careful and imaginative detailing is always evident, enhanced by an expertise in industrial design.
Born in Beirut, 1962, Joe studied architecture at the Academy Libanaise des Beaux-Arts (ALBA) qualifying in 1985, before moving to Milan's Scull Politecnica di Design and graduating with a Masters degree in industrial design in 1987. Over the next seven years in Milan, he worked with 'Caturegli and Formica architect associati', run by two former collaborators of famous Ettore Sottsass, on such projects as the Spirit showrooms, Computer Associates headquarters and Olivetti's offices. Over his Italian period, he also worked with the Japanese designer Makio Hasuike, in one of the foremost industrial design studios in Italy, on MH Way luggage, Pozzi-Ginori bathroom fittings and Ariston kitchen appliances.
In 1996, Joe started his own practice, designing residential and commercial properties. His practice expanded over the years to take projects in the UK, Cyprus, Greece and Austria. Joe's architectural and design awards speak for themselves.
Managing Director - Reena Grewal
Reena has been involved in running businesses for more than 15 years. Her international experience in structuring funds and developing mixed-use projects brings a wealth of knowledge to BDE. She has spearheaded a multi-disciplined team of designers, engineers and project managers that vary in size and use. Reena is also a practicing Barrister.
